SSL Conflicts with Two SSLs on Two Different Servers?

I hope this is the right category to post this:

Scenario:
Domain is registered at GoDaddy but ‘A’ record is pointing to Digital Ocean. SSL is purchased/installed on GoDaddy.

Website is hosted on Digital Ocean and Simple SSL is installed/enabled.

Issue:
Wordpress website tends to throw errors when we ‘Force HTTPS’ on the host. Meaning, some pages throw broken SSL pages, some don’t (could be caused by scripts/links that are non SSL as well).

  1. Is there a possibility that with two SSLs there could be a conflict?
  2. Is there any point in having the SSL certificate on the domain registrar, even though there is a Simple SSL enabled on the hosting and ‘Force HTTPS’ is set?
