Shopping cart

Hey all,
I run a 1&1 website for our annual 3-day city festival. I would like site visitors to be able to register for different events (parade, arts & crafts, etc.) by filling out an online form with their personal info and pay online via paypal, credit/debit card, ACH, etc. Is this possible? Is there an online ‘shopping cart’ utility I could use for this? 1&1 has a ‘MyStore’ feature, but it’s not suitable for my needs.

I’d also like to offer a very limited selection of items for sale (T-shirts, hats) for visitors to purchase. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive, easy to use shopping cart utility that I can use with my site?

Many thanks,

Sean

If you don’t have too many products, the easiest way might be to use PayPal’s own check-out, and just create Add to Cart buttons for each item.

It’s been a while since I last used it, but we’ve used it in the past for a local festival. You can set a limit on the number of items available, so if you have a set number of tickets for an event, you can ensure you don’t sell more than that limit. You also have options for size, colour, etc. for products like T-shirts.

There’s lots of shopping cart scripts you can use. You might want to use E-Junkie, Prestashop or Padloper.
