Responsive Web Issue

Hello Everyone,
Hope you doing well,

My website don’t have any speed issue but my website is not responsive. Is it effect my search engine ranking? here I am going to share URL http://www.photoworksinteractive.com/ please check and guide me.

Thanks

Assuming you have good/relevant content then search engines probably won’t down rank you that much, although google have announced a mobile first ranking system recently, so it might become more important as time goes on.

The bigger issue is user experience. With more and more people using small screen devices if they get to your site and find it unusable on a small screen they will leave.

getting people to your site is one issue, getting them to stay is another.

It might be worth noting that Google said that this applied to results served to mobile devices. Why would you bother serving a non-responsive result to a device that requires them to be responsive. So yes, being responsive will affect your SEO for mobile users.

I think you are probably right in general but i wonder if google found the content on your page the most relevant to a search term but your site is not responsive how it would rank. I think it would still appear in the SERPs or is my thinking wrong?
Is the weighting of responsiveness that much more important than content now? I know things have changed quite recently again.

I guess for the OP the advice would be first check on a mobile device is your site is showing up on a search where you would expect it to be, look at your analytics to see what screen/devices people are viewing your site with and how long they are staying etc, look to change to either make your site a responsive site or create a mobile friendly version using something like AMP (https://www.ampproject.org/).

hth

This should help answer some questions.
