Question regarding about title and description duplicate (for google webmaster error)

showing error duplicate title and meta description tags in google webmaster tools

Am using asp.net 4.0 using master page and content page (default.aspx) , i did not set the title and description for master page , for default.aspx have both(title and desc) how come it showing duplicate tags…
any solution thanks in advance

Google Webmaster Tools (now Search Console) give links to the pages which do not conform.

I have found it takes weeks before changes are recognised.
