Question about lynda.com memberships

Hello,

I was hoping someone may be able to answer a couple quick questions about Lynda.com memberships. I see that they have a monthly membership (including exercise files) for $37.50 which includes unlimited access. When you access a course do the videos stream or are actually able to download complete courses to your computer (be they mp4 or avi…not sure what they would be)? And if you are able to download the actual videos, is there any reason why you couldn’t just mass download as many complete courses as you want and then just cancel the membership after a month?

If anyone has experience with Lynda.com, could you provide any insight into the above questions?

It is not permitted to download the lynda.com videos, although it probably is possible. If you try this, Lynda.com will detect the downloading very quickly and send you a warning email and cancel your account. You don’t want to do that.

Their tutorials are so good and they have such a huge and varied library, though, it’s really worth the monthly fee to have access to them.
