“Eat, Sleep, Code”, while funny, could well scare people away from ever wanting a job as a coder. It could possibly be perceived as intimidating, since it’s almost like saying “real coders live to code, nothing else matters to them”. There’s a sense of elitism to it, and at the same time doesn’t necessarily come off as a desirable lifestyle (for most people, anyway). It also feels overused (but perhaps that’s part of why people like it).
By contrast, “Show Me the Code!” doesn’t say anything about lifestyle, but about attitude; enthusiasm and confidence (which comes through knowledge) - exactly the sort of things SitePoint should aim to have its audience achieve. It feels more aspirational. That’s why I’m changing my vote.
Yeah, “Eat, Sleep, Code” is the best one. “Be a better dev” is too simple. I would suggest something like “3400px x 800px”, which would be the pixel size of the t-shirt.
No offense, but all of that sounds really overthought for a shirt
I sincerely doubt anyone is going to be intimidated or disparaging over the specific wording of my t-shirt… but maybe I just interact with different sorts of people than you guys
