PHP pages messed up in Dreamweaver but displaying fine on website

The issue occurred when a person wanted to add another drop down box on the menu in the page main_nav.lbi. This then updated most of the other php pages. Then when we had a look at the site the home page was all messed up. We managed to get the website up and working but the pages displayed in Dreamweaver all still messed up

I presume you’re talking about the site preview (or whatever it’s called) in Dreamweaver? Dreamweaver’s rendering of a site is notoriously unreliable. As long as your code is valid (see https://validator.w3.org & http://jigsaw.w3.org) and displays correctly in browsers (which is how everybody else is going to view the page) you can ignore Dreamweaver messing it up.
