Outlook 2013 Email signature too wide on IPhone

Hi Everyone;

hope all are enjoying the holiday weekend. I am hoping that someone is able to assist with the super frustrating issue I am having. I am trying to create an email signature in Outlook 2013. I am using the following steps:

  1. Create 2 x 4 table in body of email. On left side, merge cells, pull center divider to the left and insert logo (logo is fit to that section).
  2. On the right, first line is my name, second is a line made up of repeated underscores, third and forth lines are address and vcard link
  3. Change border to white on table.
  4. In email signature section in Outlook, I copy and paste the table in, logo goes with it. Save.
  5. Signature looks great in Outlook (of course), but when I send an email and view it on my iPhone, the set up is horizontally too wide for the screen. I have to scroll to the right to view the end of my address, etc.

I have tried countless ways to figure this out. It cannot be this difficult. I really like the setup of my email sig and hate move to a more vertical approach.

Am I missing a step? Is there a trick to this? I am so frustrated with this and can’t image it being this difficult.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you.

Regards,
Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth. Welcome to the forums.

HTML email is a pretty awful beast to work with, as email clients are generally pretty awful and old fashioned. Still, you can make like easier for yourself by keeping things simple. As you know, iPhones are pretty narrow, so you need to keep that in mind when designing for them. With HTML email you can use @media rules for various devices, but if these are just standard emils with an HTML signature, that may not be an option.

Anyhow, show us an example of your code if you’d like more help, as we don’t have much to go on right now.
