Outer padding around tables

I’m quite new to CSS, but am developing a site on which I do use a number of tables (I’m not up to pure CSS yet) with 1pixel borders.

That is all fine, although I would like ‘padding’ outside each table (say 4pixels) on each side of the tables.

Can I do this in CSS?

Hi,

Do you mean you want some space around the table itsef?

If so then you can do that using margins:


table {margin:4px}
