Online Web Content Writer Resources

There’s a series of articles specifically for web designers to help write better web content here (http://www.webdesignerforum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=6851) - it concentrates on what’s really important and definitely isn’t a dry and boring lecture on grammar! Not the usual run-of-the-mill advice.

i just wanted to add to the resources a few today.com blogs

writefortheweb.today.com

and

momapenure.today.com

This is very helpful: http://webster.commnet.edu/writing/WRITING.htm

The purdue website is an invaluable resource for all types of writers. Stylistically and content wise it’ll get your writing on point. Check it out, it’s available for students and non students. You can find it at owl.english.purdue.edu/

Very good content writing resources thread.

Many times when you blog or do paid postings, you find it a necessary to calculate the number of characters and words in your post. Here is an easy online tool that lets you do that on the fly. www.wordcountertool.com

I also need to count the words when I write articles for article directories. I am doing it using spellcheck.net - it counts words and characters and also works like spell check.

Duplicate content filters are usually found in the search engines. These days, there is a tool known as “crawler”. This type of software helps in determining and filtering duplicate contents. Crawler is just like pipe filters where in the dirt is filtered and completely eliminated. Crawler crawls into a suspected page or article and finds out whether it is copied or not. After the page has been marked, it is now placed in a queue for the indexing process. During the indexing, the article or the content will undergo certain algorithms and step by step calculations. Of course if crawler proves that your article it totally copied, it will automatically be eliminated in the search results.

a caveat though, copyscape is not too powerful. So there might be sites and pages that are not checked. Get a more thorough plagiarism checker.

It is also important that you have to avoid the duplicate content as it affects your business. You have to make sure that you don’t write any spun articles. The online marketers have the advantage of calculating the figures of their business very inexpensively and easily.

Hi All,

I think the most important and practical web content writer resource is Copyscape. I have been using this tool since I became a professional writer (in 2005).

Hi …
I noticed that DupeCope turned to a payed service … I was using it to check for duplication when I rewrite my own articles …
Are there other tools working like DupeCope online ?

thanks I appreciate it …

news syndication sites are good for what people call inspiration- you can copy them too. another great tip for good content

there are indeed mayn but we simply dont have time to expand on them all. i use wordpress as the most supportive web tool platform-content-writer- versatile.

Dupecop is also a great reference for checking dupes but copyscape is still the best one in checking those duplicates. They are checking everything including the site structure on what’s written in there = headings, footer, everything. So you can be sure of unique contents. :)
