Min website view

Is there a way to scale a website to a mini size with the

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">

tag. What I want is for a website to show small. I was thinking if you change the 1 to something like .5 it would work. I had no such luck. I want to see the site a 50% smaller in a browser. Is there any way to do this? Thanks

ctrl key and - key to reduce the zoom level to 50%.

I know that’s not the answer you wanted but it is up to the visitor to determine if they need or want to zoom in/out of a webpage.

You don’t want to force a zoomed out webpage on the user.

I am constantly zooming IN on webpages that have their font size too small (for me). My browser remembers my preference for those sites.

EDIT:
If you are wanting it to display differently on browsers than it does on mobile devices then you would want to style it accordingly with media queries.

I think a real answer would come from knowing why you want to do this.
