Im learning my way daily through wordpress, and am now looking into the SEO. I have downloaded Yoast and looks great, but one thing seems to stand out and its that I cant seem to put a meta description for the home page. I have created a child theme, and have an index.php file there and have also brought a copy of the header file over, but seems to be to get a meta description in its a long way around.
I used the site title in the theme admin, but then the only other option is ‘tag line’ and when I enter text in there, it bolts itself to the end of the meta title, dont understand why it does that.
All the meta og is there and copies the normal meta content, but seems a bit funny why I cant put a meta description in for a home made index page within the child theme folder.
