Looping Flash Video

I am creating a banner in Flash and have imported an .f4v video. But in order not to use too much bandwidth I need to shorten the video and loop it. I know that movie clips loop automatically but that doesn’t seem to be the case for video. Can anyone help me in telling me how to loop video in Flash. There doesn’t seem to be any snippets in Action Script to do so.

Also, just to clarify, I have also had to use action script to stop another movie clip which automatically loops on the same banner. However, that prohibits me from simply checking the loop box when I publish (as it will not work due to the stop command in Action Script). – The Problem is that flash automatically will loop movie clips and not loop video. What I need is just the opposite: I need to stop my movie clops from looping and then loop the video. Any suggestions?

you can simply import your videos in separate movieclips, place on timeline and use stream option. it will automatically play just like other simple animations. you can now play, pause and stop the movie. and will be autoloop by default

Thanks for the reply Meraid. I must confess that I am pretty new to flash. I know how to create tweens and how to convert instances to movie clip symbols, but I really don’t know how to do any of what you’ve explained to me. I have never imported a video to a movie clip nor have I used the stream option. Every time I have used video I’ve imported it into the library and then draged the video onto the stage, but that never has taken up more than one frame. Perhaps you could walk me through this? Thanks so much.
