localStorage: still need cookie fallback code?

hi,

do we still need to do cookie fallback code for localStorage for older browsers? (older versions of IE, I suppose…)

am asking b/c am having a hard time getting some cookie code to work in Chrome (of course am just testing cookie code in Chrome… but well, why wouldn’t my cookie (just one cookie) not get saved in Chrome? (or Safari… it’s working fine in FF…)

but again, main question is do we still need this cookie fallback code? (back to what version of IE is still prudent to support? I’m retired now, am just working on my own stuff, am on a mac and can’t test my stuff on IE…)

thank you…
