Limit products displayed to those added in last 30 days - woocommerce

I want to expand the functionality of the woocommerce recent_products shortcode to allow the number of days to be set.
It does not need to be a parameter of the shortcode although that would be REALLY nice.
It would be fine if the days was hard coded into the loop.
This is the code for the shortcode that displays recent products. I have tried various things without success. In case its useful I am posting some code I found that relates to limiting posts displayed to x recent days also. That appears after this
