When writing posts on sitepoint, tab takes me to the next html element rather than indenting in a post. Is there a way to tab (or make some sort of tab equivalent automatically) inside of a post? I frequently write code in posts and this would help make it legible, or directly paste code with tabs that I need to edit before posting.
I don’t know of a way (but that doesn’t necessarily mean there isn’t one).
I normally use spaces to indent code in posts, tabs would be quicker.
If you are copying code from your editor it seems to keep tabbed indents.
There might be a way to configure your browsers keyboard navigation. But I don’t know if it would be easy to have it sometimes be a text tab and sometimes a navigation tab.
I guess it depends on how much you use tab navigation. I use it rarely, but I know others use it a lot.
