AI-generated content can be harmful to your website if not used carefully. While it offers efficiency and cost savings, there are potential drawbacks such as lower quality, unoriginality, and ethical concerns. To mitigate harm, maintain quality control, ensure content is unique, be transparent about AI involvement, monitor for accuracy, establish ethical guidelines, and encourage user feedback. A balanced approach that combines AI automation with human oversight is crucial for using AI-generated content effectively without damaging your website’s reputation or user experience
AI Generated Answer :grinning: :grinning: :grinning:

AI generated content can NEVER be original.

not strictly true - AI can generate a unique arrangement of the words, but it cant generate original thought.

When AI creates the content the origin is the AI not you. So what you pst on your site is not from you, so it is not origin, or?

It’s not your copyright, because it’s not your content;
The individual words are not original, because the AI has been trained to use them.
The arrangement of the words is almost certainly original, unless the AI is citing or plagiarizing another source directly.
It’s the deck of cards philosophy; There are 52 cards in the deck. Each deck of cards is not unique in that way. However, the arrangement of those 52 cards in a shuffled deck are almost certain to be unique; as there are more possible arrangements of the cards (52!, or 8×10^67) than there are atoms in the solar system. In that way, the chances are that for a text of any significant length, AI generation of that text will be an original arrangement.

This concise post by AI actually has good tips to follow when using AI-generated copy. How many 1-person web design shops will take the time to follow them?

As many people as created the post.

AI-generated content can be efficient and consistent but may lack the depth and creativity of human-created content. It’s not inherently harmful to websites, but quality and relevance should be carefully considered. Balancing AI-generated and human-created content is important for maintaining user trust and quality.

I think it’s time to bring this topic to a close, as it’s getting quite repetitive with several people using AI to give the same answer over and over with different wording.
While I remind members that we don’t usually tolerate AI generated answers in the forums, I deliberately left them in this topic as they do (on more than one level) answer the question themselves.
