Internal "Edge" not rendering well

I am new, so forgive me if this is common.

I have an internal line on a .png (tried with .jpg as well). Imagine a single image with white on the left and blue on the right (I am referring to the line where the blue meets the white). When using GIMP, I can zoom in on this line at 800% and it is a distinct line. But I when zoom in on it in Firefox (Cntrl+), it starts to go a little blurry.

The problem is that my website looks funky on the iPhone, where it is being scaled. The internal borders on these graphics don’t always line up, and makes it look like it is “pieced together”, but not quite lined up.

Hi aerodoc, and welcome to SitePoint!

I’m having trouble picturing what you are describing. Any chance you could post a link so we can see this in action? Otherwise, perhaps give some more details of what’s happening. Sounds like the image may not have a high enough resolution to do what you want it to, but I’m not sure at all.
