Infographics are great, they can also be a good source of backlinks and are very share-friendly on the social networks. We are currently making an infographic with general information about hosting services. Hopefully it goes good.

The main goal of infographics is to present (usually slightly complex) information in a way that is easy for people to read and understand, visually appealing without making them wade through pages of text. If they get shared on social media and bring you links and googlejuice then that’s nice, but if that’s the main reason you’re using them then you’re going about things completely the wrong way.
Yes, I argree, that infographics provide information that is easy for reading and perceptoin, but the infographic is likely to be shared then another type of information.
