Images in dropdown list

Hey,

I need to make a dropdown list containing images. The languages used are HTML and PHP, although I can throw in some Javascript for this as well.

Just putting img-tags inside the option-tags doesn’t seem to work. Does anybody here know how to do this?

I wanted to do this a while ago, but I simply gave up because I’ve heard that all you can use is a style=“background-image:url” and it only works on Firefox.
