Your question is a bit vague. Try to say a bit more about what you want to know so that people can provide more help. Are you asking about web hosting (which might run on Linux or Windows, for example) or are you asking what operating system people use on their own computers?
If you want to know the market shares of the different mobile operating systems, you’d better search that info with a search engine.

I’m fine with giving you the brand and OS of my mobile but I fail to understand why I should do it. Maybe if you could explain yourself better and a bit more detail, and you asked a bit more nicely, I’d be more willing to provide you with that information.

While searching for market share statistics is better than asking here, if this is for a site you have I think the better thing is to collect statistics from your site. i.e. the site’s actual users.
If you are only collecting data to create your own market share statistics why not start a poll at a site that specializes in hosting polls?
Only thing which matters for websites is compatibility with browsers. You can host and build a website in any system, and visitors can also use any system (same or different), and everything is ok as long as they use compatible browsers.
