How to sign a contract? (LLC)

Pretty stupid question if you ask me, but I’ve only had an LLC for a couple of weeks.

So I have a single member LLC, how do I sign a contract on behalf of that LLC? The contract terms specify that the party I’m signing for is the LLC and not me personally, but as far as the signature goes, what do I sign?

My Name?

My Name, Member (or some other type of qualification)

I’d think that my name would be sufficient, however the whole reason I got an LLC was because of the liability protection and and I don’t want to find out the hard way that I lost my liability protection because I signed something wrong.

Forgive my ignorance, but a LLC is a Corporation, correct?

I sign documents for my subchapter S corporation as:

/s/
Bryan Strawser
President & Chief Executive Officer
Gondolin Technologies, Inc.

Hope this helps–
Bryan

LLC is sort of a hybrid business. LLC stands for Limited Liability Company (not corporation - common misconception). You get the liability protection of a corporation, the business is treated as a separate entity and it has shares/varying membership interest, but taxes and everything else is more simple than with a corporation.
