How to create different versions/country specific websites

Hello All,
I have a company website it is doing well in search engine in US as well in different other regions. I want to give different offers in different countries; Price list and offers are going to vary according to country. My problem starts now:-

  • Is it possible to have same content on website just offers will vary according to region/country
  • Yes there will be different URLS will be but is it possible to use same content, only there will be changes in offers
  • Is there will be case of content duplication, if yes how to handle this
  • The language will be same, I read post on google webmaster central about creating multiregional/lingual website but they are also talking about language in their example so what can be done
  • How the problem of content duplicacy can be handled in this case

Any Expert ideas?
If I do the same just through different urls showing same content(Apart from offers is it going to hamper my position)
What is impact of using splash pages(Want to give most convenient offer when a user sees it from US and if not interested can go to main homepage) in the ranking

Hello Phillip, that is a challenge that most companies going global usually have.

Showing different offers depending on the country the user is accessing the website from is doable, and you can use either a content delivery network to do this, or just buy an IP Mapping database. http://www.hotscripts.com/listing/ip-country-mapping-database/

Your duplicate content is also legitimate, but there are ways you can let Google know that you are offering the same content in different languages.

Well that would depend on the keyword you are targeting. Search for a country where your keyword has more number of local searches. Use google’s adword keyword research tool to find this out. And i’d suggest you to get your content translated into a local language if English is not preferably used widely in that country. Hope this would help you.
