How to add paypal code to site?

Hi Sitepoint folks,
I would like to know if there is an easy way to add paypal code to my website?
Setting up a credit card code?
What would I need? SSL certificate ? Coresponde with Paypal ? Talk to credit card companies?
Would it be easier to just do a Weebly cut and paste and pay the monthly fees
than to go through the craziness associated with this move?

How it’s done depends upon what kind of PP account is being used. I know that the base (free?) account will only allow the user to be redirected to the PP site, process the payment, then be returned to the vendor website.

Higher (non-free) PP accounts can actually process the transaction without being redirected. I think each type has a specific set of instructions. The PP site should have a developer section that might have the answers to your questions.

You have to talk to paypal to how to use their code block or whatever they use to be inserted into a given website, just like with credit/debit cards, you have to talk to the banks

  1. PayPal account

  2. Merchant services

  3. Buy now buttons under Key features on the right side

  4. Create your button now

Then add your features and copy the code onto your site.
