How do I build an app for clients to update info?

I need to build an app that allows clients to update their information when they’d like and upload a photo, logo, and excel database.

Right now I’m using Wufoo to manage everything. They submit the information once and wufoo stores it. It works well… but if they want to update their information, they email it to me and I have to manually do it.

Are there any sites out there that would manage this better? If not, how hard would it be to build a piece of software that does the following:

  1. Allows users to login
  2. Allows users to submit information: Name, email, address, phone, website
  3. Allows users to upload: headshot, logo, excel database
  4. Allows me to login and view that information at any point
    (So far, Wufoo does all of this)
  5. Allows users to log back in at any time and update this information. This piece is key.

Any suggestions on sites out there? Is there something easier to do than build from scratch? It doesn’t have to look pretty as long as it works.

You could try the commercial route, using Adobe Contribute.

I too agree with ServiceLine, Adobe Contribute is a very good program for someone who doesn’t have a great knowledge of HTML, etc to be able to update content.

Contribute is for giving staff members or clients access to their own web site. It is NOT for every tom, dick, or harriet, to access YOUR site. Also I think that they have to have their own purchased copy of Contribute to access your site with.

It’s a database powered web site that you want. Custom build to do exactly what you want.

PS what is an excel database??? excel is a spreadsheet.
