Help me turning on Caching in .htaccess file

Hello. I need some help with my htaccess files. The problem is that I cant configure Cache Control Headers. I referred to this tutorial but still it doesn’t work.

I’m attaching my file below:

Sorry, only time for a standard rant to get you started:

[rant #4][indent]The definition of an idiot is someone who repeatedly does the same thing expecting a different result. Asking Apache to confirm the existence of ANY module with an <IfModule> … </IfModule> wrapper is the same thing in the webmaster world. DON’T BE AN IDIOT! If you don’t know whether a module is enabled, run the test ONCE then REMOVE the wrapper as it is EXTREMELY wasteful of Apache’s resources (and should NEVER be allowed on a shared server).[/indent][/rant 4]

Are all the needed modules installed and enabled in Apache? i.e. mod_deflate, mod_headers, mod_rewrite and mod_setenvif?

Dev,

If you’re calling yourself a webmaster, please act like one. The reason WP included that code was to protect idiots from taking their site(s) down (including mod_rewrite directives without mod_rewrite being enabled), not to abuse their servers (by repeating the same test ad infinitum). IMHO, you need to actually READ the rant and ask if you REALLY want to abuse your server like that.
