Free Stock Images?

I am starting to design a few templates just to see what I can come up with. I need some stock images or something to make the templates look good. At this point since I’m just messing around, I don’t want to sign up for a subscription to anything.

I’ve searched on Google and I find hundreds of misleading results stating “FREE!!! Stock Images”. I go to the website and they have nothing there for free.

Does anyone know of any websites that actually have some free stock images you can use in template designs? I don’t plan on selling any of these designs, I just want to see if I can design anything. If I decided to sell anything, I would replace the free images with something I had permission to resell.

I don’t even care if the images have watermarks on them. I just want something for place holders for right now.

You’re running into the “royalty free” images. You pay a one-time fee and they’re yours to use.

Actual free stock images are out there also. Probably the best source is stock.xchng.

Ya i have run into that alot also. Everyone thinks theres free images but someone has to get paid, its pretty cheap still for most of those places for great photos.
