Flyer customizer in php

I need to make a system it works same as printvenue.com… User can select product and than customize it . In my case they are greeting cards.The steps are following

1- First need to select the card need to customize.

I need to make it in php but don’t know what approach i need to use and how it actually works
please suggest something so i can start with it

Can you program in PHP? Do you know HTML/CSS?

yes i can program and i know html css. i just need a direction how i will start

What format are you going to use for the templates? That will determine a lot of how the processing will need to work/

I really dont know how to start but i have to make templates in html 5 with user editable areas
