Firefox issues with JSFiddle and CodePen

@TechnoBear, what if you run firefox -P and tell it to create a new profile and then load the JSFiddle in that new Profile?

If it works, great!, if it doesn’t, to switch back, close Firefox, run the command again and choose your prior profile (likely labelled default)

Aha - that works!

But then I lose all the customisations and have to start over again. That’s maybe a task for another day…

Which customisations? (just curious)

It could be that one of those is the culprit, but at least this way you know it is related to your profile and not Firefox in general.

Also, you could always use that profile manager to switch profiles should you find the need to run one of @James_Hibbard’s experimental JSFiddles

Add-ons mainly (which are presumably not causing the issue, since disabling them doesn’t help). Things like Clippings, where I have a lot of text saved, and NoScript/Adblock Plus, which I’d need to reconfigure for sites I visit. Bookmarks I could export/import, but I don’t know any way to import add-on settings

Something like this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/febe/ ?

Ah - that looks useful. Thanks, @Pullo.

No worries. I’d be tempted to port the extensions one at a time until you find out which one breaks

I have the same problem. This is more or less the only thread I found on the web about it.
I’m using Firefox Developer Edition 48.0a2 on Windows 7 Pro 64.
I tried disabling extensions, to no avail. Safe mode doesn’t change anything either.
Creating a new profile worked, but the problem appeared again after some time.

I suppose I have no other choice but to start over, and check jsfiddle periodically.

That’s good to know. I got as far as installing the extension @James_Hibbard recommended, then I decided I should have a cull of bookmarks before I move profiles - and I’m still working my way through that.

At least it’s nice to know I’m not alone.

(Now using Firefox 46 on Ubuntu Gnome 16.04.)

How’s that going? Are you using any kind of checker to find broken bookmarks etc?
This is something that I should really do, but have been putting off.

Apart from me visiting them? No.

But then I wanted to visit the links I don’t use regularly, to check if they’re still relevant. I am working my way through them gradually.
