Find clients

Hi, I have account on upwork and portfolio on behance. I had some clients, but now I don’t have any proposals for 2 month. Can anyone share how do you get clients ?

What about conversations with people you know ?
That’s what I do, I don’t need a lot of clients but I do know a few people I know have connections with people who need assistance with what I do.

This +1

Also, on Upwork and the like, you can’t just make a profile, you’re going to need to actively pursue jobs. How many did you apply for in the last two months. None? Ten? A hundred? Typically I’d say until you get a well developed reputation on a platform, it takes lots of submitted proposals by you for every good job landed.

You and several million others:-

As of May 2014, Upwork reported $1B in annual billings, 10 million freelancers and 4 million clients worldwide.

More than twice as many freelancers than clients. What will make them pick you out of 10 million?

You’re going to have to be proactive about finding clients. Plan out some time everyday, a minimum of 1 hour, to spend working on building up leads. Here are some repeatable habit ideas to get you started.

  1. Build a list of all your contacts, touch base with 2 - 3 people every day.
  2. Reach out to previous employers or clients, see if they anything for you.
  3. Reach out to local agencies and other freelancers. They can refer work to you, and you can also help clients that don’t fit your niche by referring them to other trusted professionals.
  4. Find local meetups of other business professionals. Get to know people.
  5. Proactively send out messages on one of the many job boards that don’t suck.

These all take time, but they’ll lead to quality clients with practice.

There are almost two kinds of methods.Firstly, you can find clients from website, searching on the internet, and another way,you could get more clients through your old clients, stay in touch with them ,and they may introduce more valued clients to you.

Wow! That is something to think about…

I can recommend Public Relationships, they faster then what we think. Just try going to different events or meetings were you can find your market. You can start the conversation talking about a relate theme that goes with your service and then wrap all the conversation to get to the point of your services, if you are willing and able you can give a little and free sample of your work to those people that you identified as opinion leaders
