It depends on the theme you’re using.
If it’s a paid theme, it can usually be enabled in either the Theme Settings in a Settings box on a specific page. The content of the sidebar can then be changed under Appearance → Widgets.
If you’re using a free theme, it depends on the theme whether this is supported or not. You can browse through free themes here, potentially search for ones that focus on sidebars, and install one of your choice:
