Do and Don't of putting skills in CV

Hi,
As all web dev. knows the constant world is changing and every now and then, there is new programming languages. We might not be excellent of few e.g not 100% good with jQuery, Ok with javacript but good with css. Good with procedural PHP but no commercial experience with OOP PHP. Is it ok to mention technologies that you have no commercial experience of or not at all, or mentioning of languages which you have less experience of?
Is it wise to mention, your weakness in interview when asked for, ‘what is your weakness’ and answer should be like ‘I am weak with nodejs but good with js’?

Resumes and interviews are NOT a time to be modest.

If you are somewhat proficient with a technology, DO put it on your resume. (If you can back it up with code samples/apps/websites that is better.)

Weaknesses?

Be careful…

Always spin things to your advantage. Be confident in who you are and your abilities (and your weaknesses).

If you have a weakness, show how you are working to mitigate it.

“While I have a solid background with PHP and object-oriented programming, I would like to get stronger with MVC and learn how to use it to make my code even more efficient. I think it is important to avoid repeating yourself in your code…”

Just my 2-cents.

Just be honest with the skills that you will put on your curriculum vitae. Be confident, just be who you are, answer the question as honestly as possible.
