Disk Read Error. And File missing. Boot Error

There are some simple steps to use for that.

  1. Put windows CD in CD Rom and boot from the CD.

  2. Then your PC will copy the files.Let it be done.

  3. Then a window will open in front of you and you will see a option of Automated Recovery Console.

  4. Then press F2 and a process to copy files will start again.

  5. After the process finish, then restart your PC and start it normally.

I am sure after this process your PC will be start well.

I had a problem like this before and I assumed OP got the message listing of devices/hard disk and then the monitor turns to black. I rectified that by reinstalling the OS.

When you both said no message, that could mean hardware damage. Either hard disk is damaged, loose connection from mother board to hard disk, or it could be the power supply.

So yes, I am agreeing it could hardware or BIOS issue.

I don’t have a CD drive though, as stated earlier.
