Directory Submision And it's trick

In Past All Seo People did Directory Submission for generating a back links. Should we can change the strategy for directory submission?

i think Directory Submission is not just for generating a back links but Search engines gather the data form directories and local directories. If we put our business information different in each directory (means unique Title, Description for each directory). Is it correct way for doing better SEO strategy?

Yes, you may use unique title and description for different directories as uniqueness will automatically attract SE’s. If you are submitting something unique you will surely shine differently.

yes still directory links have their importance in getting good rankings for desired keywords… We need to get links from high quality directories.

yup. i like the directory submission more than any other because it is easy and effective way to find desired key word rankings as well as to increase our back links to improve PR. But some how some directories do not approve the same url with different key words and descriptions.

there is only one drawback in directory submission mostly free sites have low PR or mostly they are at save servers and often seen when Google have to indexing theses server might be down and you will not
get the results

I think social bookmarking is better way for seo than directory submission.

Please note:

The original question was not asking for a list of (high PR) directories, but was asking a specific question about how to manage their directory submissions.

Any further replies that simply list directories and do not discuss the original question will be treated as fluff and deleted.

I think you are right. But this is useful if we are submitting our business on local directories or business directories. If we are submitting website on general web directories then I think you can change your anchor text as per your need.
Thanks

Why you need to change the anchor text? keep same anchor text in main title and use your internal pages as anchor text in Deep Link field. Some directories also offer deep link submissions (some are paid and some are free ) along with your main anchor text which helps Google to index your not only main index page but also
internal pages too.

Some people think it’s better to try to get a variety of different words and phrases on your inbound links because it looks more natural than having identical link text on every inbound link to your site.

I’m not saying I necessarily agree with it, but my guess is that that is the reason for the original question.

Directory submission is normally frowned on by the search engines. I used this technique.

I check the linkbacks on a site which offer what I offer. If I find a directory website I check the directory website out and do another backlink check on another website on that directory site. From here, if I believe I will get a back-link I proceed to buy. I don’t recommend buying links for over 30USD, I’ve seen some directory websites selling links for over 200USD.

If I am wrong please correct me. I only really did this once, were I bought around 20+ links from different link directories. I did get some follow backs. I suppose if Google checked all the link backs I would have hundreds just from SitePoint. :stuck_out_tongue: and another hundred from other sites.

Directory submissions have another benefits, it derive traffic too. If you submit your site to one of the niche directory lets say in “X” category then visitor knows or
ought to known that this X category only belong to my needs then he would like to visit all the sites including your site.

I agree that directories can bring additional traffic, I am not sure about SE’s gathering data from them though, is there
any evidence of that?

I personally believe that directory submission is really effective. But it depends on the directory. Choose directories that have high PR, high traffic and browse if it have good quality listings. Try to opt to those who offer deep linking so that you can use various keywords on your links

try mixing keywords with other subpages for maximum ranking effect. Don’t only focus on homepage with same urls.

Yep, you nailed it. A lot of the SEO-related articles, videos, blogs, and whatnot out there are saying that anchor text diversity is a must because it makes you look a lot more natural. They could have thought of something that would catch those who are using the same anchor text over and over again, and treat them as if they’re using some sort of a submitter software, or something.

Anyway, about directory submissions, all I can say is that you shouldn’t blast 'em. I’ve heard some people using software to blast their links on directory sites, or even having a group of people work on submitting just one site to a lot of directories. Just… don’t do that.
