Designing an email footer - css or old school tables etc?

Hi,
I’ve been tasked with creating the html for an e-footer for our company emails. I am wondering what is the best format for this. I know that CSS is a bit hit and miss for email so wonder if a table layout is better.

Should i use the old <font> tags or font-family: etc

Or a mixture of both?

any advice appreciated

Many email clients are still in the dark ages and still use <font> and tables, and they only understand some CSS.

ah ok that was kind of what i was thinking but wasn’t sure if much had changed. I’ll do it old school then for now and see how i get on.

thanks
