Hell i didn’t understand what you want. You want to create a subdomain or what ?
Subdomains are created in DNS and web server configurations, PHP can run on any domain / subdomain on a webserver assuming its set up correctly.
If you are wanting to script something to detect subdomains in code, that is a completely different request?
You need to be clearer over what you are trying to achieve.
i think he wants to create a subdomain based on an username, for instance xxx.com and if i signup, my account would be rob.xxx.com

I know I am arriving in pretty late. But I could not resist commenting. This was probably the most ambiguous request I ever came across, I just could not gather what help was being asked for actually.
