Converting Facebook fans to online store customers?

How does it work for you guys, what methods, apps, approaches are you using?

My interest there is twofolds:

  • as a merchant I am running online store where sell software so interesting to know best practices
  • I develop a Facebook app that helps (at least I believe that helps) to solve this problem, especially for fashion and furniture/homewares retailers, so wonder to understand how does it fit in

For a start of discussion, what do you think about having online store directly in a tab of your Facebook page? Does it work?

I tend to find that most fan page visitors miss the apps unless you regularly link to it from a post, or make the app thumbnail very prominent

Very good point EastCoast, especially if app is not in the 1st few visible without additional clicks.

I don’t think FB apps work Facebook fans to online store customers… your app must be attractive then only you can grab the visitors.

It is really a biggest task to convert facebook fans into online store customers.

totally agree, it’s hard.

As a solution we’ve recently launched a new Facebook app that helps fashion and homewares merchants in that.
