Bootstrap 4.XXX and upgrade to 5.XXX inside Laravel

I try to upgrade Bootstrap 4.XXX into 5.XXX.

Which steps to perform us usual update will not work?

I have tried but upgrade to 5.XX will not work. It should be installed from scratch.
