Any professional here who can give me feedback related to my clients blog

Hi All,

Wassup? Well I am new here and I am writing this on behalf of my client. We need feedback related to the blog. My client is a dentist based out in Thailand and his blog url is www.drsunildental.com/dental-blog. We have been running his blog since last year but haven’t seen it grow. The only thing that is growing are the number of blogs that we write. We write about all the dental procedures and practices - so ideally we write about every thing related to dentistry.

Can any of you professional give a feedback about the site? It will be helpful for us.

Your website looks good. You have lots of followers in your Facebook page and Twitter. Your site is responsive but lacking of navigational menus and privacy policy. I didn’t also seen or maybe i missed it, your client’s list of services and testimonials from his customer. You should add it also.

What do you mean by “grow”?

Before I get to see anything on the site, I get a popup message to sign up to a newsletter. For me, that translates into “Go away! We have nothing to offer you here” and I would normally leave without bothering with the site.

In terms of the site content itself, you could reach out more to readers and invite them into the site with an introduction, a rationale for the site, with perhaps a selection of best topics to start with etc.

That’s exactly what I did.

I looked at it earlier (pre-caffeine) intending to look around a bit and give a short review.

But when that happened, it was an instant “can’t be bothered”

And your site is not the only one that has this effect on me.

There is a reason pop-up blocking is so popular.

IMHO using a lightbox for a similar effect has become all too commonly abused.

Perhaps if I was allowed to look at some content, enjoyed it, and saw a “subscribe” icon I would then subscribe.

But if a site is going to be so “in your face” chances are the emails will be just as annoying and there is no way I’d subscribe.

Indeed. The notion that anyone would subscribe before having any idea of what’s on the site is so laughable it beggars belief that anyone would touch this strategy with a long pole—yet it’s all over the place. Quite incredible.
