Has anyone come across a good, free php debugger please ? I have googled it, and found a few, but would prefer to go by personal recommendations.
Any help appreciated.

IMO, xDebug would be a good choice.
Ditto that, its the only one I’ve used though. My IDE’s got one but I never used it ( NetBeans ). So not much of a recommendation then.
xDebug is more a souped up profiler from what I have seen of it, if you like beat by beat, line by line non-intrusional profiling for micro-optimisation you’ll really like it though (with cache.grind or wincache.grind).
