Adding business to Google Maps

Hi there,

I am wanting to add my business to Google maps. I have created a Google My Business profile about 3 days ago, but wondered if I need to do anything else?

I can see when I enter my address there is an option to add my business on the maps, but this takes me to GMB again.

Does anyone know how to add the business to the map or will it happen in time now I have created a GMB profile?

Thanks!

It’s been a long time since I added our business to Google My Business, but IIRC, it was automatically added to Google maps. I do remember that the original marker was slightly out of place and I had to move it manually. I can’t remember how long it took to show up.

As far as I can see, providing your address and other information in Google My Business is still all that is required.

Claim your local business

To claim an existing physical business or create a new one, use Google My Business. Once you verify yourself as the owner of a listing, you can provide or edit your address, contact info, business type, and photos. This enables your local business information to show up in Google Maps and Google knowledge panel.

Thanks for the reply.

I have just received an email from GMB saying it has been added, so they did it automatically.

Thank you for looking into it for me.

Hello,
After verifying your business on Google my business then they will automatically add your business location on Google maps.

OP has already stated the problem is solved, so there seems little point in offering further advice. Thanks to all who offered help. Topic closed.
