I just got my first server (Ubunutu 8.04) and loaded some sites on it. I realized that any links or image source paths I have where I use the full URL (i.e. http://www.mysite.com/images/image.jpg) do not direct correctly. Is there something I can include in the .htaccess or server configurations to allow this?

Yep, but just opened port 53, works now. I guess for the DNS to reach your server it only makes sense to open a port for it!
How is mysite.com being resolved? Do you have the domain’s DNS settings pointing to your server?
