That feeling of freedom, that Dave mentioned, overcame me today.
I recently created a pure CSS menu which I thought might possibly
be mildly interesting to those of you who are rather fond of going
round in normal rather than ever decreasing circles.
The thing can be seen in all it’s silliness here…

…and all the stuff used can be found in this attached zip file…

Very nice example of how to make non rectangular hit areas.
Good job

Hi there Paul,
The eighth element did cause a few problems, especially with the skew.
Personally though, I think that circular menus are “arty farty” and a total
waste of space.

I must admit, I looked at that and thought “Ooh - I really like that… but what could I possibly use it for?”

Hi there TechnoBearLife,
I created it for someone on another forum
from an image example that was posted.
As a congenital problem solver, I just found
it to be a rather interesting coding exercise.
As"JQuery" was suggested to be the solution,
how could I resist not making it with only CSS.

I am surprised the center “ninth” button was not used as a possible internet pause
Very neat, I like it a lot.
That is awesome, @coothead . Glad I can inspire you
