Which 2.0 sites do you use?

I use Wordpress.com but I know there are more out there. What web 2.0 sites do you use on a regular basis?

Wow, I haven’t seen the expression ‘Web 2.0 site’ in a very long time. At one point there was a lot of confusion as to exactly what that meant. Could you elaborate on the type of site you are referring to?

I’m glad you asked.

It’s one of those phrases I see bandied about - usually by SEO “experts” offering/advising links from “Web 2.0 sites” - and I’ve never really been clear what it means.

I think there still is!

I’ve seen it around too, and wondered what it meant, so looked it up on-line.
My own conclusion based on my findings was that it means nothing.

AFAIK, Web 2.0 just means a site that isn’t static content.

I don’t think I use anything that’s static content.

This Wikipedia page on Web 2.0 serves quite well to explain the idea. It is very dated though. I’d have thought most sites qualified these days.

Has anyone coined the term web 4.0 for anything yet or is there still time to claim that one?

I haven;t seen any mention of web 2.0 or web 3.0 in many years so its probably about time to do something with 4.0.

(for anyone who has forgotten 2.0 was using ajax calls to avoid reloading the page and 3.0 was some weird non-normalized database design that avoided the need to ever change the extremely poor database design when adding extra fields wherever you needed them).
