Flex box is great for this kind on thing. Here is a Codepen I did in response to another question here. All the boxes on each row are uniform height, but the height is not fixed for greater flexibility allowing a varying length of content.
You will see it is very responsive, without the need for any media queries and copes very well with zooming, either the whole page or just the font size.
