yes i open /etc/php/php.in did a search for gd and found a semi-colon as shown below:-
;extension=gd.so
I also did a search further down and found this:-
[gd]
; Tell the jpeg decode to ignore warnings and try to create
; a gd image. The warning will then be displayed as notices
; disabled by default
; http://php.net/gd.jpeg-ignore-warning
;gd.jpeg_ignore_warning = 0
i did remove the semi colon from the extension line but no change.
