I kind of took that for granted from the OP… @ireshsl, by all means learn the basics first!
I know HTML and CSS very well and I have developed about 10 websites from scratch. As I mentioned in the first post I have started my career as a web developer.

That’s a big part of why I prefer to us my simple text editor.
I started with plain Notepad and used it for years before switching to Notepad++
Perhaps if I had to routinely crank out tons of code I would change my ways, but I fear my level of enjoyment would be diminished.

The project I’m working on right now has plain jane css. Not by choice but none the less projects exist without using css pre processors.
