Roomba is just the beginning! In ten years’ time when I’ve settled down neither me nor my wife will need to spend 10 - 20 minutes cleaning the house because we’ll have our lovely little 'bot to do it for us. How much time will that save us both over the course of just a year? I think what I love about the idea of robots helping humans is that it ultimately allows us to spend our time on much better things that can be more beneficial for ourselves and others.
Nooooooo… oh no! Robots give people diabetes! Look what elevators and automobiles have done! Someone in the town I used to live in has a Mo-bot. It’s cute, and doesn’t poop everywhere like a pygmy goat, but the owner’s fat! Imagine if he had to use one of those motor-less push-mowers instead (like I used to use back when I had a lawn). Healthier, better for the environment, and no worries of a future rebellion by robots.
