I’ve seen innerHTML get some kind of bad rap so long ago I can’t recall details. Out of habit I use innerHTML when I want HTML, and textContent for text only. And, I don’t pass any possibly dirty user supplied input with innerHTML. I don’t know if the last is still a security thing, it’s a habit.
