Are forums still pouplar?

I’m sure this question has been discussed quite a number of times and I’ve done a lot of research and still haven’t been able to come to a conclusion. So I’m asking again here: Do you think that forums as a means of exchanging information, experience and ideas are in decline because of social media or will they continue to exist?
